The University has implemented a secure ActiveSync setting for users of smartphones and tablets who synchronize their Rowan University email accounts. If you synchronize your Rowan University email account on your mobile device, you will be required to:
- Set up a 4-digit PIN or passcode on your phone or tablet
- Agree that encryption and remote locking will be enabled during idle timeout
iOS Users: Users running iOS 5 or higher will need to create a PIN to unlock the device. If a PIN has already been created, no changes will be seen.
In accordance with information security policies, these settings are mandatory on all devices that are capable of supporting them.
Rowan does not automatically wipe the device after a specified number of failed logins. However, if you lose your mobile phone or tablet and you want it wiped, please notify the Support Center at email@example.com.
