Summary

Change management is defined as the addition, modification or removal of approved, supported or base lined hardware, network, software, application, environment, system, desktop build or associated documentation of the production IT environment. 

The Production IT environment is system components used to provide information technology service to employees and students, including but not limited to: server hardware and associated operating systems, virtual servers, software applications, virtual applications, networks, data storage, air-conditioning, power supply, server rooms, data centers, networks and workstations that are part of the university environment. This includes IT environments managed by IRT, departments, schools, and vendors.

The Change Management policy addresses changes involving systems that process student, financial, healthcare and secure electronic information, including but not limited to changes of operational systems, application systems, network infrastructure, hardware installation, operating procedures and maintenance.
