How to configure Outlook 2007/2010 to connect to your Rowan Exchange email account from home.
Please note that Outlook 2013 does not require the VPN.
You first need to connect to the VPN by going to http://vpn2.rowan.edu.
Once you have connected to the VPN:
Make sure Outlook is installed completely (Run add/remove programs in the control panel, select Microsoft Office and click the change button. Then select "add or remove features," click on "Outlook" in the install list and select "run ALL from my computer")
- Go to: Start | Control Panel | Mail (located under "user accounts and family safety" in non-classic control panel)
- Select "Show Profiles"
- Click "Add"
- Name your profile
- Enter your name, username and password
- Click "Next"
- Choose your new profile from the drop down menu and select “Always use this profile” and then click “OK”
Once you have added your profile:
Select "Show Profiles"
Make sure your exchange profile is listed under "When starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile."
Login using your entire email address as your username.
