New Students

Your Rowan Network account is your key to connecting to critical resources on campus, including the University's secure wireless network and student email.

  • Visit id.rowan.edu and click "I don't know my username" to obtain your network username and password for the first time.

  • Need help creating a secure password you'll remember? Try this technique.

Your Banner ID and PIN provide access to Self-Service Banner, the system you will use to register for classes, apply for housing and manage your personal information.

  • Your Banner ID will be included on your admissions materials, orientation email invitation and the mailing label from the orientation reminder. You can also visit id.rowan.edu and log in with the username and password you obtained in the first step to locate that information.
  • Your Banner PIN is initially your birth date as MMDDYY.
  • Log in to Self-Service Banner at rowan.edu/selfservice.

Check your Rowan email account at least daily to keep up with the latest information about events on campus and review important University announcements.

Every computer trying to connect the Rowan Network will be scanned and must meet a certain set of requirements in order to get online. Students are encouraged to prepare their computers to connect to the Rowan Network before they arrive on campus.

The University has reached agreements to offer some of the most popular software programs for free to students.

Keep your personal data safe from cybercriminals by creating strong passwords to protect your accounts and learning how to spot potential scams.

While you're updating your important Rowan accounts with new, secure passwords, also change your Banner PIN.

Haven't logged in to your Rowan email account since the end of last semester? Now's the time to check for important messages from the University.

Update your computer's anti-virus program before you arrive on campus to help you easily connect to the University's wireless network.
