The Cisco VoIP phone transmits calls over the same data network that your computer uses. Combining voice and data over the same network means that you have more control over your phone and its features.
To determine which type of phone you have, look for a number in the upper right corner of the phone under the words "Cisco IP Phone" or look for "Model Number" on the bottom of the phone.
Please contact the Technology Support Center at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need help.

Making On-Campus Calls
When placing a call to a phone on the same campus, you must use a five-digit extension. Four-digit extensions no longer work.
Making Inter-Campus Calls
When placing a call to a phone on a different campus, dial the 10-digit number of the person you are trying to reach. You do not need to first dial a 9 to reach an outside line.
Making Off-Campus Calls
Dial 9 to reach an outside line followed by the 10-digit number of the person you are trying to reach, even if the call is to a local number.
For information about reaching internal-only numbers, see our section on internal-only dialing below.
