The new version of MAC OS X, 10.10 (Yosemite) is expected to be released today, Thursday October 16th, and is currently incompatible with the ClearPass registration system and potentially other services at Rowan.

Information Resources and Technology has prepared a place for students to help get you started with technology services available at Rowan, including connecting to
the Rowan network, email accounts, and securing your computer. 

Support Desk Contact Information

The Support Desk is located in Memorial Hall.
You can call the Support Desk at 856.256.4400 or email support@rowan.edu 
The Support Desk's hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the first two weeks of each semester, the Support Desk has extended hours until 6:30pm Monday through Thursday.


Usernames and Passwords

Your Rowan network account is used to access most
technology related resources on campus.

You can obtain your Rowan network account or change
your password  through our Identity Management page,
located at: http://id.rowan.edu

Computer Service and Repair

If you are having a problem with your computer, NSS has technicians
available to assist you. The fastest way to get your computer repaired
is to bring it to the NSS Workshop, located in Memorial Hall South. If you
have a desktop computer, just bring the computer itself. The other parts,
such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc are not needed by the workshop.

 

Banner Self-Service

You can register for classes, access your grades and/or view
your transcript online by visiting www.rowan.edu/selfservice and entering 
your Rowan Identification Number and PIN.
You can find your Rowan Identification Number and PIN at http://id.rowan.edu.

If you have any questions on how to use Student Self Service after you
have logged in, please contact the Registrar's Office at 856-256-4350.

BlackBoard

Login to BlackBoard 9.1

BlackBoard is online management software that aids students in their
classes by creating, managing, organizing and housing a Web-based learning environment.
On this site, faculty can post lecture notes and information, grades and past quizzes.
Blackboard also contains a chat area and bulletin board. Its biggest advantage is that it
allows students access to information at any time of the night or day.

Cable TV

Television is available via coaxial cable in each residential unit as well as over IP-TV.
Televisions that don't have an internal digital tuner that supports Clear QAM will need an external tuner.
