The purpose of ClearPass is to ensure that all computers connected to the University network meet minimum security requirements before being granted access. This applies to all devices connecting to the University network, even if you registered your device in the past. 

The following instructions will help you register your Android phone or tablet on the Rowan network.

Student Android Devices

Students do not need to register their mobile devices. Students should simply connect to the RowanSecure wireless network and login with their Rowan Network username and password.

If you have ever been paid by the University as an employee (as a part-time or summer worker, for example) or have an "employee role" in addition to your student role for any other reason, you will be prompted to follow the Employee steps found below when you try to load a webpage on your Android device.

Step-by-step guide for Employee Android Devices

Open your Wi-Fi settings and click on "RowanSecure"

Login with your Rowan Network username and password,

If you do not know your Rowan Network username and password go to:

A Sign-In page will open up. Tap MORE.

Under the MORE menu, tap Keep Connection.

Enter your Rowan Network username and password and click "Log In"

On the next screen, click "Install QuickConnect" - this will open the Google Play Store.

Click "Install" to install the ClearPass Quick Connect App

Click "Accept" when prompted

Once the App is done installing, click the Back button on your device:


Click "Next" under "After you have downloaded and installed the application..."

On this screen, now click "Install Network Profile"

If it prompts you to choose an application to open the file with, choose "ClearPass QuickConnect"

Your phone/tablet will now provision itself and connect to the RowanSecure wireless network.

NOTE: If you do not have a pin set to secure your device, you will be prompted to create one.

Once this process is complete, you should be able to connect to the RowanSecure wireless network.
