Your home directory (also known as your H:\ drive on a PC) is a personal folder created for you on one of the University's servers. Saving your files and documents there allows you to access that information anywhere. Your home directory is also backed-up every night to ensure you will never lose your files if you accidentally delete them or your computer breaks.
Below are instructions for connecting to your home directory from both on and off campus.
You can also now use ExpanDrive on Windows or Mac. ExpanDrive is a pre-configured application that mounts your H:\ and O:\ drives. Please visit our ExpanDrive page for instructions on how to use that application.
Employees on a Rowan managed machine can access their home directory (H:\ Drive) by double-clicking the "My Computer" icon on your desktop (or from the Start Menu, depending on what version of Windows you are using) and double-clicking the H: Drive.

To access your home directory from off campus, you must first connect to the VPN by visiting: http://vpn2.rowan.edu. The Rowan VPN is limited to approved users. To request access, please follow the instructions found at https://go.rowan.edu/vpn. You can also access your home directory without the VPN by using ExpanDrive.
