New patches to fight the Log4j vulnerability are being released on a near-daily basis. You can protect your Rowan-owned computer from this serious threat by keeping it up to date.
Here’s how you can check if your computer has the tools it needs to defend itself against the Log4j flaw and other security risks:
In addition to checking for and installing pending updates, you can help us protect your data, your team and your university from the Log4j vulnerability and other threats by regularly restarting your computer, locking your computer at the end of the day (rather than shutting it down) if you are on campus, and connecting to the Rowan VPN for at least two hours a day if your computer is mostly used off-campus.
As a reminder, we are actively reaching out to employees who are assigned computers that do not meet our security standards and working one-on-one to resolve the issues. Computers that do not comply with our security standards will be disabled.
