Employees may now upgrade to macOS Monterey on their own

Employees may now upgrade Rowan-owned Mac computers to the macOS Monterey operating system on their own through Self Service.

Please back up any important documents or other content before starting the upgrade and close all applications. You may lose unsaved data if the upgrade is not successful. Employees have access to unlimited storage on Google Drive. For help uploading files to Google Drive, review these instructions.

If you are upgrading a laptop, make sure your AC power cord is connected to your computer.

When you are ready to begin the upgrade:

  1. Go to Finder > Applications > Self Service 
  2. Log in with your Rowan NetID
  3. Locate the “MacOS Monterey” option, click Install and follow the prompts to complete the installation
