Information Resources & Technology and Public Safety have contracted with a vendor to conduct a survey of cellular signal strength inside all Rowan University buildings.
We are notifying employees and students when the vendor is scheduled to be working in a specific building. The vendor is expected to complete the survey on the Glassboro campus in mid-June and will begin surveying buildings on the Camden and Stratford campuses in July.
In order to complete the survey, the vendor will have people onsite in buildings wearing mesh backpacks with antennas protruding from the top, as pictured below.
The vendor will conduct the survey on the first floor of each building and will not enter any classrooms, offices nor dorms. The vendor will also display their Rowan ID along with a bright security vest and signs indicating networking testing is in progress.
