The new version of MAC OS X, 10.10 (Yosemite) is expected to be released today, Thursday October 16th, and is currently incompatible with the ClearPass registration system and potentially other services at Rowan.

As part of the ongoing network redesign project, Information Resources & Technology is planning to install new network firewall devices this weekend.

This work will cause a network outage on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. During that time frame, internet service will not be available through Rowan University’s network on any campus and users will not be able to remotely access network resources through the University’s VPN.

Following the deployment of these new devices, we will be conducting testing throughout the weekend. The possibility of intermittent network outages exists while that work is underway.
