Symantec user? Update your anti-virus to McAfee

Information Resources & Technology recently upgraded the anti-virus software Rowan University provides for free to students and employees for use on their personal computers.

We are now offering McAfee to help students and employees protect their personal devices. We are no longer providing Symantec Endpoint Protection, and our license for that product will expire before the start of the fall 2018 semester.

That means students and employees who currently have Rowan-provided Symantec installed on a personal computer will have to install a new anti-virus product before next semester. You will not be able to continue using the version of Symantec provided by the University after our license expires.

What Do You Need to Do?

We recommend you remove Symantec from your computer and install McAfee at your earliest convenience. Use the links below to install McAfee for your operating system.

Note: Do not install this version of McAfee on a Rowan-owned computer. This version of McAfee is provided to students and employees for use on their personal computers. For information about the McAfee upgrade for Rowan-owned computers, visit go.rowan.edu/mcafee
