New service for accessing virtual engineering applications

Information Resources & Technology recently updated the way students and faculty virtually access engineering applications, including MatLab and Comsol.

Those applications are now available through a new service called Citrix Desktop. Citrix Desktop will provide you with a full Windows 10 desktop experience, just as if you were working on a lab computer, whether you are on or off campus.

To access CitrixDesktop, you will need to install Citrix Receiver, which is available for Windows, Mac and Chromebook computers. Once you have installed and logged in to Citrix Receiver, search for “Citrix Desktop” in the “Search for apps” field in the top right corner.

The applications listed below are currently available on Citrix Desktop. If you previously accessed these applications individually through Citrix Receiver, you no longer will be able to do so. You’ll need to access Citrix Desktop in order to virtually access these applications.
