Information Resources & Technology has implemented several new configuration changes that employees and students who are logged in to Chromebooks with a Rowan University email address may notice.
We most recently applied a standard desktop background that will provide a consistent experience for Rowan University users and provide information about your device that will help our support team troubleshoot technical issues. You cannot alter or change the standard Chromebook background.
Other changes include the deployment of standard Rowan applications, such as Webex and Bomgar, and a rule that locks your screen after 15 minutes of inactivity.
These changes apply to both Rowan University-owned Chromebooks and personal Chromebooks when logging in to the device with a Rowan University email address. Students or employees who are using personal Chromebooks and do not want these changes applied to their device may log in with a personal Gmail account.
