Say hello to RowanWiFi: An easier way to get online at Rowan

RowanWiFi, a new wireless network that makes it easier for students and employees to get their personal devices online, is now available on campus.

RowanWiFi for Personal Devices

RowanWiFi allows you to access the internet on a personal device as you would at home, so you can quickly get to popular resources like Canvas, Google Drive, email and more. You can easily connect a laptop, tablet or phone to the new network by selecting RowanWiFi and logging in with your Rowan Network username and password.

Visit go.rowan.edu/wifi for more information, including tips for resolving common issues, such as Macs blocking the login prompt for RowanWiFi

RowanWiFi also makes it easier to wirelessly connect Playstations, Rokus, Apple TVs and other entertainment devices to the internet. You'll still need to know your device's MAC address and register it at rowan.edu/device. Once those steps are complete, you can connect your device to the RowanWiFi network.

It's important to follow safe computing practices on any network, including RowanWiFi. To avoid any disruption in service, we strongly recommend installing anti-virus software and enabling automatic updates before connecting a personal device to RowanWiFi.

RowanSecure for Access to Internal Resources & Wired Connections

If you require access to internal Rowan Network resources on a personal device, you'll need to wirelessly connect to RowanSecure or connect to the wired network on campus. To connect to RowanSecure or the wired network, you'll need to install ClearPass OnGuard on your device, equip it with up-to-date anti-virus software and enable automatic updates. Rowan-managed devices are only authorized to connect to RowanSecure. Employees and students using a Rowan-managed device will not be able to wirelessly connect to RowanWiFi.
