We are happy to announce that Zoom is now available to instructors and students for use in classes conducted within Canvas.
While University business must be conducted through Webex, either Zoom or Webex may be used for coursework within Canvas. Faculty should familiarize themselves with both tools so that they have flexibility throughout the semester. Given the unprecedented demand on these platforms as the semester begins, it is possible that Zoom and Webex may experience intermittent outages during peak usage times.

As part of bringing Zoom online for University use, employees and students who signed up for free Zoom accounts using their Rowan email address will be prompted to merge their account into the University’s main account. Please review this article for detailed guidance on this issue. Employees with legacy Zoom licenses will be handled through a separate process. Usage of Zoom and Webex must comply with all University policies.
