A new Duo two-factor authentication prompt that makes it even easier — and more secure — to log in to protected applications is coming to Rowan University this summer. The new prompt has an updated look and streamlines the verification process.
New Prompt Launching June 3
Information Resources & Technology will be applying the new prompt to the University’s single sign-on service on Friday, June 3. You’ll see the new prompt when logging in to Canvas, Google Drive, Self-Service Banner and Rowan NetID after that date.
How the New Prompt Works
The first time you log in using the new prompt, it will automatically start the verification process with the most secure method you have set up. If you have Duo Mobile installed on your phone, you’ll receive a push notification, which uses end-to-end encryption that’s not available with a text message or phone call. If you haven't already, we recommend setting up Duo Mobile on your phone, as it's the fastest, easiest and most secure method.
