macOS Sonoma: What to do before you upgrade

Rowan University students who want to upgrade a personal device to the recently-released macOS Sonoma are encouraged to take the following steps:

  1. Check software compatibility. Make sure any software you use on your computer on a regular basis will work with macOS Sonoma. ExamSoft, for instance, recommends postponing this upgrade because it may interfere with Examplify access.
  2. Back up your documents. Please back up any important documents or other content before starting the upgrade and close all applications. You may lose unsaved data if the upgrade is not successful. You have access to unlimited storage on Google Drive. For help uploading files to Google Drive, review these instructions.

If you have any questions, please contact the Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400, or submit a ticket in the Rowan Support Portal. You can also get answers to common questions in our Knowledge Base and our chatbot, Ask Susan, at any time.
