Information Resources & Technology has started installing CrashPlan, a cloud-based desktop backup solution, on all Rowan-managed Windows computers. All Rowan-managed Mac computers should already have CrashPlan installed.
CrashPlan automatically backs up your preferred files every 15 minutes, preventing data loss from hardware failures, cyber attacks and accidental deletions. By default, this includes all data on your local hard drive except system and program data. With CrashPlan, you can also restore files on your own from an easy-to-use interface.
Don’t wait. Install CrashPlan on your own now! You don’t have to wait to get CrashPlan on your computer. You can install CrashPlan on your own today through Company Portal. For help, review our instructions on installing CrashPlan.
CrashPlan’s data encryption features also mean you can use it to back up all types of Rowan University data, including information protected by HIPAA and FERPA.
