The 2018 fall semester is approaching and we would like to remind everyone of Blackboard course availability at the Glassboro campus.
When can I access my course(s)?
You can request a crosslist of courses six weeks before the course is slated to begin. If you wish to crosslist your course during this time, please access the faculty tab in Self-Service Banner to make your request prior to August 5.
On August 5, all courses for fall will be automatically generated and will be available to faculty in Blackboard. This will allow you to build course materials four weeks before the fall semester begins.
Once all courses are generated you will no longer have access to crosslist courses in Banner. Instead, you will need to make a request for a crosslists using the Blackboard Course Crosslist Request form.
Individual Courses
All courses will automatically be placed into Blackboard on August 5, four weeks prior to the start of the semester. If you require access more than four weeks in advance, you may make a request using the Blackboard Early Course Access Request form.
Crosslist Availability
You will have the ability to crosslist your courses via Self-Service Banner six weeks prior to the start of the semester. Crosslist requests four weeks prior to the beginning of the semester (after 08/05/18) are submitted through the Blackboard Course Crosslist Request form.
What is a Crosslist?
A crosslist course occurs when an instructor combines multiple sections of a course into one Blackboard course. This allows for posting of materials once for all enrolled students to see, rather than posting to each course site.
Course Size
There is a limit of 500 MB for each course. If you plan to copy content from previous semesters, we recommend reviewing your course files to remove duplicate copies, unused copies, or to move content such as video and audio to a streaming service like Rowan University MediaSpace.
You can also store, link to, or embed Powerpoint and other large capacity files from your Rowan University Google Drive account.
