As of June 19, you will no longer be able to use ExpanDrive to access your home directory (H: drive) or openarea (O: drive) at Rowan University.
By retiring ExpanDrive, we can better secure files stored on network servers while also supporting our transition to cloud-based storage solutions that make it easier to access your files from any location and any device.
Rather than ExpanDrive, we encourage you to use one of Rowan University’s approved cloud storage options, Google Drive and OneDrive. These platforms can serve the data storage needs of most employees, including those who have access to confidential data, and are easily accessible through a browser and mobile apps from anywhere.
If you need to access your home directory (H: drive) or openarea (O: drive) from off-campus, you can use the Employee Desktop or Academic Desktop to open and edit your files, but you will not be able to transfer files to another device. You must use a Rowan-approved cloud storage option to transfer files. If you have been approved for Rowan VPN access, you can also access and edit your files through that method.
