Employees may now upgrade Rowan-owned Mac computers to the macOS Sequoia operating system on their own through Self Service. If your computer is running macOS Monterey, you are required to upgrade to macOS Ventura or newer to stay compliant.
Please back up any important documents or other content before starting the upgrade and close all applications. You may lose unsaved data if the upgrade is not successful. Verify that our desktop backup solution, CrashPlan, has been installed on your computer, and is backing up your preferred files. You can also back up specific files to Google Drive or OneDrive.
If you are upgrading a laptop, make sure your AC power cord is connected to your computer.
When you are ready to begin the upgrade:
- Go to Finder > Applications > Self Service
- Log in with your Rowan NetID
- Locate the “macOS Sequoia Upgrade” option, click Install and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
If you have any questions, please contact the Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400, or submit a ticket in the Rowan Support Portal.
