What Do I Get?

This service protects your data by automatically backing it up to a cloud-hosted service through a software program called CrashPlan.

Why Do I Want It?

CrashPlan securely and continuously backs up your data to the cloud, preventing data loss and allowing you to easily restore files. With CrashPlan, you can select which files are automatically backed up to an easy-to-use interface.

CrashPlan backs up your files every 15 minutes using limited processing power to prevent slowdowns and encrypts your data.

Who Can Get It?

This service is available to faculty and staff for use on Rowan-managed computers.

How Do I Request It?

CrashPlan has been rolled out to all Rowan-managed computers. If you don't have CrashPlan yet, you can download it to your Rowan-managed computer through Company Portal (Windows) or Self Service (Mac). For help, review our instructions on installing CrashPlan

How Can I Access It?

Once you have installed CrashPlan on your computer, you can open it as you would any other application.

How Do I Get Help With It After I Have It?

Please visit CrashPlan’s support website for help using and configuring the application.

If you have any other questions, please contact the Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400. You can also submit your question in the Rowan Support Portal.
