What Do I Get?

This service provides access to the internet and/or Rowan Network resources through a network jack.

Why Do I Want It?

Wired networking gives faculty, staff and students a reliable connection to the internet and/or Rowan Network resources to access applications and data.

Who Can Get It?

This service is available to faculty, staff and students.

How Do I Request It?

Faculty, staff and students are authorized for wired network access. However, personal computers may only access the internet through the wired network; you cannot access internal Rowan Network resources.

How Can I Access It?

Personal Devices

Plug in your computer, and you can access the internet. You no longer need to install ClearPass OnGuard to successfully connect a personal computer to the wired network on campus.

You can also connect streaming devices, like gaming consoles and smart devices, to the wired network, though you'll need to register them first at rowan.edu/device (while on-campus). For help, review our article on connecting streaming devices.

Rowan-Managed Devices

Rowan-managed devices will automatically connect to the wired network once plugged in.
