Your Rowan Network account is your key to connecting to critical resources on campus, including the University's secure wireless network and student email. To activate your Network account for the first time, follow the steps below.
- Enroll in Duo. Go to duo.rowan.edu, click the “I don't know my Rowan Network Username/Password” link and follow the prompts to verify your identity and register a device. Follow these instructions for help.

Your Banner ID and PIN provide access to Self-Service Banner, the system you will use to register for classes, apply for housing and manage your personal information.
- Locate your Banner ID. Your Banner ID will be included in your admissions materials, orientation email invitation and the mailing label from the orientation reminder. You can also visit id.rowan.edu and log in with the username and password you obtained in the first step to locate that information.
- Change your Banner PIN. Your Banner PIN is initially your birth date as MMDDYY. Log in to Self-Service Banner at ssb.rowan.edu with your Banner ID and default PIN, and you will be prompted to change your PIN.
Check your Rowan University email account at least daily to keep up with the latest information about events on campus and review important University announcements.
- Check your Rowan email. Most Rowan students are provided with a Rowan Gmail account. Medical students receive an Exchange account.
- Forward your Rowan Gmail account. Want to forward your student Gmail messages to another account? Check out this guide. Note: Medical students may not automatically forward email to a personal account.
RowanWiFi is the easiest way to get online at Rowan University. If you can access something while connected to the internet from off-campus, you can get to it from RowanWiFi.
- Connect a laptop or phone. For most personal devices, you can log in to RowanWiFi in two steps. Just select RowanWiFi when you're on campus, and log in with your Rowan Network username and password.
- Connect a gaming console/entertainment device. To wirelessly connect Playstations, Rokus, Apple TVs and other entertainment devices to the internet, you’ll need to know your device’s MAC address and register it at rowan.edu/device. Once those steps are complete, you can connect your device to the RowanWiFi network.
