What Do I Get? 

This service provides access to the internet and Rowan Network resources through a wireless connection on a laptop, cell phone, tablet, gaming console or smart device across three different networks:

Why Do I Want It? 

Wireless networking gives faculty, staff and students a reliable connection to the internet and Rowan Network resources from nearly anywhere on campus. 

Who Can Get It?

This service is available to faculty, staff and students, as well as campus visitors. 

How Do I Request It?

All Rowan University faculty, staff and students are authorized for secure wireless network access. However, personal computers and other devices must meet certain requirements to access wireless networks on campus. 

Visitors at Rowan University may access basic internet services through the Rowan_Visitor_Wireless network by simply connecting to the network and accepting the terms of use. 

How Can I Access It?  


Personal Computer

rowan student on a laptop insideTo connect most personal computers to RowanSecure, you'll need to equip your computer with anti-virus software, enable automatic updates and install ClearPass OnGuard. Follow the directions below for your specific operating system. 

iOS Devices

woman using a mobile phoneGlassboro students are not required to register their iOS devices with ClearPass to access RowanSecure; they can connect by logging in with their Rowan Network username and password.

Faculty, staff and medical students are required to register their iOS devices with ClearPass to access RowanSecure.

Android Devices

To connect an Android device to RowanSecure, use the settings in this article.


person playing gaming consoleThe RowanDevice network allows employees and students on the Glassboro campus to connect a Playstation, Wii, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Echo or other entertainment or gaming devices to the internet.

You'll need to have your device's MAC address to connect to RowanDevice. For help, see our instructions for locating MAC addresses on commonly-used devices


Prospective students and their families, vendors, alumni, event attendees and others can get basic wireless internet access while on campus through the Rowan_Visitor_Wireless network. This network is available in academic and administrative buildings in Glassboro, CMSRU and RowanSOM. 

To access the visitor wireless network, select Rowan_Visitor_Wireless from the list of available wireless networks on your laptop or mobile device. Accept the terms of use in the window that pops up and then click Connect.
