Data Governance
Data is a strategic institutional asset that must be used responsibly to support Rowan University’s mission.
The University adopted a revised Data Governance Policy in 2026, establishing a Data Governance Council (DGC) under the authority of the Chancellor. The council serves as Rowan University’s institutional body for data governance accountability and enterprise data decision-making.
As a data custodian across all domains, the Division of Information Resources & Technology is dedicated to ensuring systems that store and process university data are secure and accessible to the right people — at the right time.
If you need help with Cognos reports or database views, submit a request through our Data Request Form. For other data-related needs or questions, please contact Institutional Data & Analytics (IDA) within the Division of Academic Affairs.
