What Do I Get?

This service provides access to digital signage solutions that allow departments and colleges to display visual content and information on electronic displays in their buildings.

Why Do I Want It?

Digital signage gives you the opportunity to market events and services to the campus community, as well display other important information to students, employees and visitors.

Who Can Get It?

This service is available to Rowan University employees.

How Do I Request It?

There are three different types of digital signage solutions available at Rowan University:

Campus Channel

In partnership with Apogee, Rowan offers the campus channel, which displays relevant content from departments and organizations across the university. The campus channel is the default channel for all new displays.

To request the campus channel for an existing digital display, submit a request in the Rowan Support PortalRequests for the campus channel on an existing digital display take one week to set up.

To request the campus channel for a new digital display, submit a request for technology consultation. Requests for new displays vary depending on customer requirements and purchase processing times.

Local Channel

In partnership with Apogee, Rowan offers local channels, which give departments and offices full control over the content displayed on their digital signage. There is a $600 initial fee for setting up this channel, as well as the following annual costs: $240 channel portal fee and $300 per sign player license.

To request the local channel for an existing digital display, submit a request in the Rowan Support Portal. Completion times for requests for the local channel for existing displays vary depending on customer requirements.

Static Content

This solution may only be used to display directory information, such as staff member names and office locations, and relies on a Google Slides presentation that is managed by the department or office responsible for the digital display. You cannot play videos or include other non-directory information in this solution.
