What Do I Get?
This service provides access to a hardware-encrypted portable storage device — manufactured by a company called DataLocker — to store confidential data.
Why Do I Want It?
Hardware-encrypted portable storage devices better protect against security threats, like malware, and make the encryption and decryption process more efficient for employees who must store confidential data on portable devices. The management platform for DataLocker also allows Rowan University to centrally provision, secure and manage portable devices containing sensitive data.
Who Can Get It?
This service is for Rowan University employees who must store confidential data on portable storage devices and cannot use a Rowan-approved cloud service, like Google Drive or OneDrive.
How Do I Request It?
Submit a request through the Rowan Support Portal.
How Can I Access It?
Once your request has been reviewed and approved and your drive has been ordered and received, you will be notified via email with instructions for picking up and setting up your device.
How Do I Get Help With It After I Have It?
Visit DataLocker’s support website for help using your device. For other questions, contact the Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400. You can also submit your question in the Rowan Support Portal.
