What Do I Get?  

This service provides access to unlimited desktop cloud backup storage for Rowan University data through software called Code42.

Why Do I Want It? 

Code42 securely and continuously backs up your data to the cloud, preventing data loss and allowing you to easily restore files. With Code42, you can select which files are automatically backed up to an easy-to-use interface.

Code42 backs up your files every 15 minutes using limited processing power to prevent slowdowns and encrypts your data.

Who Can Get It?

This service is available to research faculty.

How Do I Request It?

Submit a request in the Rowan Support Portal for Code42. Requests take up to three business days to complete.

How Can I Access It?

Rowan-Managed Computers

Once your request has been approved, IRT staff will deploy Code42 to your machine, and it will automatically begin backing up your data. You can log in to Code42 at any time to customize the configuration. 

Other Computers

Once your request has been approved, you will be sent a link to download Code42 to your device. Once you install and configure the application, Code42 will begin backing up your data to the cloud.

How Do I Get Help With It After I Have It?

Please visit Code42’s support website for help using and configuring the application.

If you have any other questions, please contact the Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400. You can also submit your question in the Rowan Support Portal.

The Technology Support Center aims to address all support requests within one business day. If the Technology Support Center cannot resolve your issue, it will take up to two more business days to receive a response to your support request for this service.
